Age doesn’t matter. You can go as far as you want; you are always learning. Taking these classes is something I’ve always wanted to do.

Seniors take these recreational classes to learn how to ride or to return to riding. They find that riding our wonderful horses instills confidence, empowers and encourages, as well as provides opportunities for exercise, learning new skills, and keeping mentally agile. Many participants return session after session to advance their skills even further.

SILVER SADDLE

Silver Saddle classes are recreational riding for able-bodied adults 55 and older with the ability to groom and tack their own horse, mount and dismount unassisted, and ride independently. Classes are designed to teach horsemanship and basic riding skills. There are five (five-week) Sessions during our riding season. Lessons are about 1 1/2 hrs. long.

SILVER CARRIAGE

Silver Carriage classes of introductory, recreational cart driving lessons for able-bodied adults 55 and older to learn basic driving skills, parts of the harness, harnessing, and with an introduction to driving competition and showing. Each one-hour class works with two or three students and runs in five-week sessions as do our riding sessions.
