Horses with Heart (HwH), a PATH Intl. Premier Accredited Center, is seeking a Program Director for our growing center. HwH is celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year, now with 17 horses and over 180 volunteers. PATH Intl. CTRI instructors are invited to apply. A preferred candidate’s qualifications include:
Current PATH International CTRI or CHA IRD certification.
Certification in First Aid, CPR and AED obtained within 30 days of hire date.
Ability to effectively communicate and lead.
Equestrian experience.
Horse management experience.

Program Director
Reports to: HwH Executive Director
Full Time Position
Responsible for the leadership and management of the complete and ongoing programs conducted by Horses with Heart. Programs include therapeutic/adaptive riding, ground lessons, veteran and first responder programs, recreational riding and driving, and community outreach programs. As part of the instructional team, this position includes teaching and mentoring.
Participate in ongoing development and supervision of a safe therapeutic horsemanship program.
Assist in the planning and implementation of instructor training.
Train and mentor new instructors and instructors-in-training.
Coordinate scholarship applications and other funding for participants.
Maintain standards of PATH Intl. and CHA, and helps center maintain PATH Premier Center accreditation. Coordinate the process of re-accreditation.
Communicate with Executive and Operational team as necessary to support the Organization.
Chair instructor meetings.
Serve as liaison between Instructors, Executive Director, Operations Director, and Volunteer Coordinator.
Participate in community functions on behalf of the Organization.

Experience and Qualifications:

Ability to work with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other software programs.
Ability to pass a criminal background check and E-Verify.
